So much to do, so little time! Each day at the Generation Joshua iGovern camp is jam-packed with activities. Whether it’s starting the day with an uplifting chapel service, listening to inspiring speakers, strategizing on how your candidate can win the mock presidential campaign, drafting legislation to win support in the campaign, or participating in any number of recreational activities, the GenJ iGovern camp promises to keep you busy!
Each day, students will be required to attend chapel for group worship and a short devotional. One of the GenJ staff will lead the group in worship while another delivers a devotional on one of the themes for the week.
Lectures and Speakers
Each day, camp participants will listen to lectures by prominent conservative leaders and thinkers. Past speakers have included individuals such as Representative Michelle Bachman (R-MN), Representative Mike Pence (R-IN), David Barton (WallBuilders), Alex and Brett Harris (authors of Do Hard Things), Dr. Jeff Myers (Myers Institute), Lila Rose (LiveAction), Wendy Wright (Concerned Women for America), and Bill Jack (WorldviewAcademy).
At camp, you will have an opportunity to draft bills, create legislation, debate in Congress, and gain hands-on experience for what it would be like to run a country. You will figure out what it takes to rub shoulders with high profile lobbyists at our annual formal Gala. In addition, during our mock presidential election, you'll have a chance to run for President or Vice President, or help elect another member of the party to this coveted position.
Fun and Games
iGovern gives you the chance to connect with old friends and make new ones during our packed, week-long program. You'll connect over shared interests and causes, and develop these friendships as you work and play together. In addition to the lectures you'll attend and the causes you will support, iGovern West gives you special opportunity to enjoy all types of fun outdoor activities -- archery, water fights, horseback riding, and more!
