GenJ Contest Award Requirements and Submission Procedures

Contest Schedule: Marcy 1 - Mary 15, 2008

Contest Details: Participants may enter up to three (3) photo's, however only one can win a prize.

Subject: Land of the Free, Home of the Brave

The contest will be broken into two groups of competitors. Students from ages 11-14 will take pictures which show America as the "Home of the Brave." Competitors from ages 15-19 will show America as the "Land of the Free." There is a lot of room for creativity in this photo contest-so think outside the box! You must do your own work, and photos will be judged by their creativity, originality, and artistry.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 4. The first place winner in each category will receive a $100 Amazon gift certificate, and two students (per category) will receive an "honorable mention" and a $25 Amazon gift certificate for their photo.

Rules: All entries should be submitted in either an original digital format (i.e. no scanned pictures) or as an actual photograph hardcopy.

Editing: You can crop, change to black and white, or change the lighting of the photo, but you cannot edit a specific part of it (like red eye) or digitally enhance it with photoshop or something like that.

Digital entry is strongly preferred, however, if emailing, please submit entries as a jpg attachment. All entries must include an entry form (see left-hand sidebar).
